Jake McCall and his skeleton friends live in a small ghost town called Afterlife. Being freed from the burdens of living inThe Before, The Town of Afterlife is where they go through eternity inThe Afterhaving fun and doing the things they enjoy. They are rather typical skeletons living in a typical ghost town for the rest of Forevermore. As you will see, living in the Town of Afterlife inThe Afteris often much like the way you and I live now in our world,The Before.

From work to leisure, there isn't that much difference between here and there. Living in Afterlife, there is plenty to do for any man or woman who likes to get out and around. Clearly, that's a great situation when you have a lot of time to kill, particularly of the eternal variety. The Town of Afterlife is a wonderful place to permanently retire if you want it to be.

Obviously, this collection of skeleton pictures and the accompanying stories are entirely made up through imagination. They're just for fun and hopefully, worth a laugh to you through the dark humor and whimsy of it all. In other words, these skeleton spooks are for entertainment purposes only and offer a simple laugh at our very human selves.

For those who wonder, real skeletons were not used. But I did use a good dose of real imagination. Life, even time spent eternally in Afterlife, is no fun at all without imagination. Fun for the sake of fun underlies everything in this art project.

For those who wonder even further,whywas this skeleton project even done at all Well, why not I say who doesn't need a laugh served with a side of silliness

Photographically, most of the images were made with a special digital infrared camera that creates black-and-white pictures. That seemed a good fit to portray dark humor. Some of the pictures were also made in black and white with a regular digital camera, and still others were done in the usual way, in color.

I hope you have some fun with these skeleton pictures and enjoy them as much as I did creating them.

Author Bio

Andrew Dierks has been a full time photographer the last twenty five years. With a deep interest in all types of photography and a strong creative desire, he was naturally drawn to creating with a camera and has done so often in that time.

His art career has been mainly in selling original fine art at summer outdoor art shows in the eastern US during the show season. The winter off seasons have been spent submitting images to magazines and other publications through stock agencies, resulting in being published in over half the countries of the world and extensively online.

His book of funny skeleton pictures and stories came about through whimsy and imagination and a desire to have a little fun out of the usual. He enjoys the challenge of imagining a potential photograph in any genre, then finding a way to get it accomplished.

He maintains a commercial website at www.DierksPhoto.com and a shop on Etsy.com where these skeleton pictures are offered as matted prints, on canvas, and super high gloss laminates. Other types of fine art pictures are offered in a wide swath of subjects such as trains, horses, classic junkyards, landscape, abstracts, black and white, and more.

Andy has lived in Pennsylvania for most of his life and currently resides in central Pennsylvania in Altoona. His other interests include travel, creative writing, building guitars, and music, not to mention riding bikes with Janet and their little dog, Remi.
