First began in 2016 thanks to the synergy between Vogue magazine and leading businesses operating in the sector, Photo Vogue Festival is a fashion photography exhibition of the highest artistic quality. This second edition of the Photo Vogue Festival is devoted to the photography of Paolo Roversi. His pictures stand out for the uniqueness of the line connecting artistic research and the valorization of fashion. Roversi is a leading photographer in the fashion world, an artist mindful of the exploration of photography's creative language. In his artistic output, contemplation of and experimentation with the photographic language of the Polaroid is accompanied by the fragility or the dreamlike visionary nature of the various subjects presented. Born in Ravenna in 1947, it was in Paris - in the early 1970s - that Paolo Roversi first fell in love with fashion photography. As a result, he began contributing on a regular basis to some of the most authoritative trade magazines, such as Marie-Claire , Harper's Bazaar Italia and, most importantly, Vogue Italia . Elected by the critics as a "painter of images", from the 1980s Roversi began working with large-format Polaroid film, taking pictures solely in his studio, with diffused and suffused lighting. This particular type of film would allow him to create and bring to life ethereal and melancholy colours that have always been a trademark of his style.
