This book represents over forty years of taking portraits of people, David Russell's real passion. It reflects his real interest trying to capture different, interesting, personal and intimate portraits. Hunting for that fleeting bonding moment between photographer, camera and subject that reveals a quick glimpse of a real person. That's what he works so hard to capture. This book has reflections of family, friends, and former strangers. So 40 plus years later it seemed time to finally do the portrait book. The old tools had become antiques. Now we have digital cameras, computer post processing software and printers. David has spent many never-ending hours learning. However,Light, Composition, and Capturing a subject remains the exact same. Hope you find at least some of it interesting.
