True to the Cartier brothers' passion for the earth and its natural beauties, the newest collection of high jewelry brings the wonders of nature and cultural splendors from all four corners of the globe into dialogue. Sublimated by the interplay of stones and drawings, the inspirations give rise to highly stylized, even abstract compositions of a new genre. A coral reef entwines the length of a flamboyant necklace, an iguana skin transforms into a geometric matrix, and a Chinese puzzle box reveals a kaleidoscopic ring. Natural treasures and the fruits of human creativity meet in the purity of original compositions, revealing the unique dimensions of a multi-faceted universe that showcases all of the richness of the natural world and the Cartier universe.
"Cartier has always celebrated the beauty of nature after all, the Maisons iconic panther, serpent, and crocodile pieces are among its most iconic. For its newest high jewelry collection, the brand turned its attention to even more of the creatures that live among us, and this captivating book by author Franois Chaille shows how something as simple as the glittering scales of an iguana, the subtle coil of a seashell, or the texture of a coral reef can inspire a stunning wearable treasure. Chaille also highlights the cultural notes, from traditional Indian sculpting to Chinese iconography, that appear throughout the stunning collection."ONLY NATURAL DIAMONDS
