Phoenix artist Julie Gilbert Pollard paints in oils and watercolors in a fluid, painterly manner. Her painting style, while representational, is colored with her own personal concept of reality and a unique approach to color and light. She has taught classes since 1985, and currently teaches at the Scottsdale Artists' School, Shemer Art Center and Cynthia's Art Asylum in the greater Phoenix area, as well as the Highland Valley Studios in California, Dillman's Creative Arts Foundation in Wisconsin and La Romita School of Art in Umbria, Italy. Julie is a signature member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. Her work is included in many private and corporate collections and she is represented in Arizona by Esprit Decor Gallery in Phoenix and Windrush Gallery in Sedona. Julie is the author of two North Light Books, Brilliant Color (2009) and Watercolor Unleashed! (2013), as well as two North Light DVDs in acrylic and watercolor.
