One of Iran's most celebrated artists
Reza Lavasani, born in 1962 in Tehran (Iran), is an artist of many talents and careers: painter, sculptor, illustrator and stage designer. He has also studied philosophy for many years, with a particular focus on mythology, sociology and history, themes that feature prominently in his work. Although Reza Lavasani uses a wide range of media and materials, he uses a number of key subjects in his work, which he continually explores. Universal symbols that the artist manages to make unique in each of his poetical representations. With its meticulous selection of works, this book is not a simple presentation of Reza Lavasani's work, but rather a dialogue between the texts and the works.
Alee Rafiee, artist and author, was Reza Lavasani's student before a specialist of his work. Alee's ALEPH project was exposed in a solo show in 2022 in Tehran.
Mehrdad Emrani, photographer and cinematographer, focuses on portraits and daily scenes, which he presented as still lives.
