Crafted with stunning artwork, Dubious Documents is a distinctive gift or captivating self-purchase for fans of puzzles, riddles, and anyone looking for an exquisitely designed challenge.
The book opens with a fictional narrative revealing a mystery posed by a that the reader must solve. Following that are the 16 envelopes, each of which contains cryptic clues. The clues will include anagrams, picture-grams, number puzzles, and word plays. Once solved, each letter will reveal one word. Once all 16 letters have been solved, the reader can assemble the 16 words to construct the answer to the mystery.
The last few pages of the book will contain a grid and a chart to help the reader unscramble clues and record solutions as they gradually discover them.
Dubious Documents is a no-brainer for puzzle lovers. It's gorgeous and interesting visually, and the puzzles and backstory are intriguing, to say the least. Author Nick Bantock has done it again. Plus, it's made me want to get all of his other work as well.
