The Museum of Modern Art is at an historical crossroads, as it moves into the next phase of its expansion project. At this extraordinary time in the museum's history, the institution is issuing a limited-edition boxed set commemorating the opening of MoMA QNS. It comprises Tempo, a volume created to accompany the first loan exhibition in the new space; MoMA QNS, the story of how the Queens building came to be; and To Be Looked At, a book featuring 120 important works from the Museum's Painting and Sculpture Collection from the 1880s to the present. This three-volume set will be a memento of this key phase of the Museum's history.
Terence Riley is Chief Curator of Architecture and Design at The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
