The author asked 56 actors, designers, politicians, advertising art directors, movie directors, and other creative types why they are creative. The "creatives" were allowed to respond with either an illustration or with a written testimony. Their answers were then analyzed "on the couch" by a panel of world-renowned psychoanalysts. A complete list of the "creatives" which have been interviewed follows on page two.
The author studied at the Hochschule der Kunste in Berlin and at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. He has been a Creative Director of International Advertising Agencies in New York, London, Hamburg, and Dusseldorf. He has also been a judge at the Cannes Festival. In 1995, he founded Herman Vaske's Emotional Network, an advertising and production company that works with the best creatives in the world.
