Art Deco was one of the most captivating and popular artistic movements of the 20th century with an iconic blend of luxury and simplicity. This is an entirely original approach to the subject, featuring 264 postcards from the 1920s to 1940s - from nightclubs, hotels and restaurants to skyscrapers, apartment buildings and airports. It includes such emblems of the era as the Chrysler and Empire State buildings, as well as a selection of faades and interiors that together provide a cross-section of Art Deco style. A pop-out-and-keep facsimile section includes eight detachable reproductions of some of the most important and beautiful cards, some black and white and some displaying their retro tints.
'Great the retro aesthetic is so appealing, I cant imagine many people not appreciating this as a gift' - The Bookseller
