This momentous catalogue, published to accompany an in-depth survey of the artist as a history painter in the 1960s through 1980s, will give long-overdue, in-depth attention to Rosenquist's achievement in American art.
Judith Goldman is an American curator. She retired as chief curator of drawings at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, in 2002. Working independently today, her earlier long-term affiliations were with the Guggenheim Museum, New York, the Muse National d'Art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, where she organised exhibitions of classical modern and contemporary artists (among them Joan Mir, Constantin Brancusi, Sigmar Polke, and Luciano Fabro). She has published several books of contemporary art.
