This ambitious monograph reveals the strong and singular body of work of the major painter in the French art scene.
Marc Desgrandchamps, a major painter in the French art scene, explores the notions of opacity, transparency, and superimposition. Far from realistic representation, his figurative work allows the strange to emerge through distorted perspectives, undefined spaces, and fragmented bodies. The book includes essays by Pauline Nobcourt and Danile Cohn, an interview with the artist by Erik Verhagen, and forwords by Frdrique Goerig-Hergott and Jean Frmon.
Pauline Nobcourt is an art historian and Curator of the Muse des Beaux-Arts de Dijon. Danile Cohn is Professor of Philosophy and Director of the CEPA laboratory at the University of Paris I - Panthon Sorbonne.
