This book represents the most comprehensive collection of all of DAIM's artwork through 25 years of his career. DAIM is a German artist active in the writing scene for a quarter of a century. DAIM's works are comprised of the construction, as well as the deconstruction of a word. His graffiti can be seen as a word-formation that is constantly threatening to reassemble, denying access, escaping the demands of tangibility and, thereby, remaining free and sovereign.
"[The] use of the name DAIM is becoming more and more complex. I perceive it as a kind of self-portrait -- my entire personality has impact on the works. My development as a human being strongly corresponds to my development as an artist."
DAIM (pronounced like the coin 'dime'; born 1971 in Luneburg as Mirko Reisser) is a German graffiti artist who lives and works in Hamburg. He is renowned for his trademark large-size, 3D-style graffiti works. His technically sophisticated style fully proves his reputation as one of the best graffiti-artists in the world.
