Judy Millar is one of New Zealand's most internationally recognised contemporary artists. In 'Questions I Have Asked Myself' she shares more than 60 paintings from the last 40 years alongside notes and drawings taken from her workbooks. 'Questions I Have Asked Myself' offers an intimate insight into her life in painting and shares with the reader 'the push and pull of my thinking'.
Judy Millar's paintings are held in all major public art collections in New Zealand and in several prominent international collections, including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and galleries in Switzerland, Germany and the Czech Republic. She has had public works commissioned by Christchurch City and the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki. In 2009 she represented New Zealand at the prestigious Venice Biennale with a solo exhibition titled 'Giraffe-Bottle-Gun'. In normal times she lives between Auckland and Berlin.
